A candle warmer lamp is a small lamp that hangs a warm bulb over your jar candle and melts the wax from the top, so the scent fills the room without ever lighting the wick. Here is how it compares to burning a candle, honestly, including where a flame still wins.
1. No open flame in the house
Candles caused 2% of reported US home fires, 3% of home fire deaths and 6% of home fire injuries from 2015 to 2019, about 20 candle fires a day, according to the National Fire Protection Association. A wick burns a hole straight down the middle when it is not burned long enough, and the wax around the edge never melts. A warmer heats the entire top surface evenly, so the wax melts to the edge of the jar and you are not throwing away a third of the candle.
3. No soot on the walls or the jar
A flame leaves black soot on the inside of the jar and, over time, on walls and ceilings above where candles burn. Melting wax with a bulb produces no combustion, so there is no smoke and no soot.
4. Dimmer and timer, so you set it and forget it

Is a candle warmer safer than burning a candle?

Does a candle warmer make the candle last longer?
Yes. It melts the whole top surface evenly instead of tunneling down the middle, so you use the wax you paid for. The scent eventually fades from the wax, which is when to replace it.

Can I use any candle?
